About the Program:

Morning

Part one: the Heart Center. We will begin by exploring the role of the heart through the eyes of ancient cultures, traveling through time to see how humans have viewed the human heart, its purpose and function. We will see how the world’s spiritual traditions view the role of the heart as well as examine Edgar Cayce’s readings on the heart. The session will also cover what scientists are now saying about the heart and looking at the findings of the Heart Math Institute.

Part two: The morning will conclude with a guided heart center meditation experience accompanied by a sound/music bath to guide you to your heart center, to guide you to your Heart of Gold. Music helps support your meditation experience because it calms the nervous system, masking distracting environmental noise, while it provides an anchor for the wandering mind. The slow rhythmic elements of the music help to synchronize your breathing, making it easier to transition from an active state to deep relaxation and meditation.

Afternoon:

Part one: What is Inner Peace? The afternoon will begin by defining inner peace and looking at how both anxiety and worry prevent us from finding and living from a place of inner peace. The discussion will include new findings on the origin and function of anxiety as well as coping methods for both. We will then delve into what inner peace is and what it is not and discover that inner peace is really a whole person experience: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, not just as a state of consciousness.

Part two: The afternoon will conclude with a guided inner peace meditation experience, again accompanied by a sound/music bath to guide you to your inner peace that is always present within you. Current scientific studies and research demonstrate that music can be a support for our inner peace practice because it can lower the body's stress hormones, triggering the release of mood-boosting neurotransmitters, and quiets overactive mental chatter. By engaging the brain's emotional and sensory centers simultaneously, it actively shifts the nervous system from a state of alertness to one of deep relaxation and inner peace.

The sound/music experience instruments for both guided meditations include the bass Freenotes wing, Tibetan singing bowls and the Rav Vast and Kosmosky overtone tongue drums.
